A 51-year-old woman in the UK was arrested after a video of her surfaced online, showing her spitting on an Asian man and then kicking his dog on June 9th. The woman was taken into custody Wednesday, June 10th at 2:25 pm for racial assault, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a class B drug, and attacking a dog, according to the Examiner Live.
The incident in question took place in Hob Moor in the area of York, the United Kingdom around 8:10 pm. The police were called after the altercation took place by witnesses of the incident. Footage shows the woman clearly being the aggressor, both spitting at the Asian man and kicking his dog.
North Yorkshire Police released a statement:
“Our officers arrested the 51-year-old woman at an address in York at 2.25 pm this afternoon. She was arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated assault and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, in connection with the incident on the evening of Tuesday 9 June 2020.”
“She was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drugs. She remains in custody at this time, while our inquiries continue.”
