DIAMOND BAR, California—Police are investigating a home invasion in Diamond Bar that left a man injured.

The robbery happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 2300 block of Sunset Crossing and N. Del Sol Lane, reports FOX11.

Police say two male suspects armed with a handgun and taser got into the home and were confronted by a male resident. A fight soon ensued.

The homeowner was punched several times during the scuffle. The suspects then managed to get away with the man’s wallet, which contained around $3,000, according to NBC4.

The homeowner was treated for his injuries at the scene. The homeowner told NBC4 he recognized one of the robbers as his “friend.”

“I cannot say anything, he is my friend you know,” the victim said.

Authorities later confirmed a male suspect has been detained in connection with the home invasion and is currently being questioned. Authorities also say this does not appear to be a random home invasion.
