Finance Exec Accused of Drugging and Raping Asian Teens

June 17, 2023

NEW YORK CITY—A 54-year-old finance executive for Dwight Mortgage Trust was indicted on Thursday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in hotel rooms throughout New York City and feeding her drugs until she overdosed.

Michael Olson is currently being hit with a 17-count indictment for the alleged months-long abuse that was uncovered back on May 26 when responding paramedics arrived at a Manhattan hotel room and discovered him with an underage girl, according to The New York Post.

The 14-year-old girl ingested a combination of ketamine, cocaine, and Xanax.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and survived. Olson was arrested soon after and was released from jail after posting a $1 million bond.

While out on bail, Olson continued to try to contact underage Asian girls, even though he was being electronically monitored, according to prosecutors.

Turns out, the 14-year-old girl who overdosed wasn’t Olson’s only victim. Authorities discovered she was one of many vulnerable young teens he preyed upon.

Prosecutors say Olson first targeted the 14-year-old back in December 2022 through her Instagram page and replied to a post she made about clothes costing too much, according to the DA’s office.

Olson then allegedly sent her a gift card and began to pay her to spend time with him. Soon after, over a period of six months, he allegedly raped the teenage girl on multiple occasions and paid her $700 a week in exchange for sex at hotels in Queens and Manhattan.

The finance executive even traveled with the girl on trips to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Miami and pretended that she was his daughter by purchasing boarding passes using her first name with his last name.

Olson is currently being charged with one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance to a child, five counts of rape in the second degree, seven counts of aggravated patronizing of a minor for prostitution in the second degree, two counts of criminal sexual act in the second degree, one count of facilitating a sex offense with a controlled substance and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, reports The New York Post.

“A search of an iPad that the defendant had with him that day revealed numerous other victims,” prosecutor John Fuller stated during a hearing. “There were hundreds of screenshots of various Instagram accounts of young, Asian teenage girls that the defendant messaged.”

Investigators also discovered Olson kept a collection of nude photos of underage girls performing sex acts on his seized iPad. He is expected to face additional pornography charges as well.
