Police Bust Burglary Ring Targeting Asian Business Owners

October 31, 2021

SYRACUSE, New York—Onondaga County Sheriff’s Detectives are searching for 34-year-old Donovan Moorman of Syracuse.

Authorities believe he is tied to a large burglary ring targeting the homes of Asian business owners, reports Local Syracuse.

Dozens of homes have been broken into in Manlius, DeWitt, East Syracuse, Clay, North Syracuse, and Salina. Thousands of dollars in cash have been stolen, according to Local Syracuse.

Detectives believe the burglars stake out the businesses, follow the owners home, then return to burglarize the residence and businesses.

Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office explained the suspects would enter the residence by force and once inside they would steal large amounts of cash, coins, jewelry, and designer bags/purses.

Three suspects have been apprehended: Emery Kinsey, Jared Donaldson, and Phillip Jackson—all residence of Syracuse. Only 34-year-old Donovan Moorman remains at large.

If you have any information you can call the Sheriff’s Warrants Squad at 315-435-3032 or Manlius Police.
