Man Charged With Capital Murder in Fatal Double Shooting

CENTRAL AUSTIN, Texas—A man is in custody and charged with capital murder after a fatal double shooting in Central Austin over the weekend.

31-year-old Yong Yoon Kim, is charged with capital murder for the deaths of Nathan Limoge and Christopher Rivers—both were 28 years old, reports NEWS4SA.

The fatal double shooting happened Saturday, January 22, in the 7700 block of Burnet Road, just south of the intersection with West Anderson Lane.

According to police, they received a 9-1-1 call around 11:45 a.m. for a double shooting in a parking lot. Responding officers and EMS found Limoge and Rivers with life-threatening injuries.

Although lifesaving measures were attempted, both victims succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene just before noon, according to NEWS4SA.

Kim actually called 9-1-1 and explained he had gotten into an altercation with two men and shot them both in self-defense. However, eyewitnesses at the scene gave “contrary accounts of the shooting.”

Kim was arrested and booked into the Travis County jail.
