TikTok Star Kills Wife and Male Friend After Installing Spy App

SAN DIEGO, California—A TikTok star with almost a million followers pleaded not guilty on Monday to shooting and killing his estranged wife and a man she was with last week at a San Diego high-rise, reports CBS News.

According to prosecutors, Ali Abulaban secretly installed a listening device on his 5-year-old daughter’s iPad. When he heard his estranged wife talking with another man, he went to her apartment and shot them both dead last Thursday afternoon.

San Diego Police responded to a report of a shooting inside an apartment at Spire San Diego, a 45-story building at 1475 Island Avenue in East Village at around 3:11 p.m.

Police found Abulaban’s 28-year-old Filipino-American wife Ana Abulaban of San Diego and her Filipino male companion, 29-year-old Rayburn Cadenas Barron from National City suffering from gunshot wounds

They were both pronounced dead at the scene at 3:31 p.m., reports Times of San Diego.

After the shootings, Abulaban—still armed—picked up his daughter from school, according to Deputy District Attorney Taren Brast.

Abulaban is known as JinnKid on TikTok and has more than 940,000 followers on the social media app. He mainly focuses on comedy skits and impersonations of the character Tony Montana from the 1983 film “Scarface.”

If found guilty, perhaps Abulaban will add another impersonation to his list, Andy Dufresne getting sodomized in the 1994 film “Shawshank Redemption.” Spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen the movie—Dufresne gets sodomized multiple times by a group of men.

About two dozen family members and friends of the two victims packed the courtroom earlier this week. According to CBS News, several of them sobbed as Brast shared details about last Thursday’s killings.
